My favorite time of year is fall.  It has nothing to do with the changing leaves, and everything to do with baseball season.  The World Series is upon us, and as Texas & St. Louis battle it out I’m going to be bringing the best ballpark alternatives to you!

One of the first things that comes to mind when you think about ballpark food is peanuts & crackerjacks.  We can all blame the song for making us eat sugar-coated candy messes but there’s a simpler solution.  Snack better.  One of the best products I’ve found out there is by a company called Lesser Evil.  They make the best Kettle Corn I’ve ever eaten in my entire life.  Yes, that’s right Cracker Jacks, eat your heart out.  They don’t even need to give me a toy ring to make me fall in love.

The philosophy of Lesser Evil is to prevent “Snackcidents” and provide healthier alternatives to yummy food.  Their products don’t have trans-fats, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup or high fats.  And they’re not raging with calories either.  Really, they’re a snack revolution.  They come in original or “black & white” which I highly recommend.  It’s the perfect solution to any chocolate craving you might be having without dealing with the cocoa hangover later.

You’d think they were paying me to say this, but I promise you they aren’t.  Though if they’d like to pay me in snacks that would be greatly appreciated.

As for your peanuts, there’s so many options out there.  I picked up some Virginia Diner Old Bay Seasoned peanuts because they looked cute and fun.  I couldn’t believe the taste difference once I tried them!  They tasted more peanutty than any peanut I’ve ever eaten.  After checking out their site I found out the Virginia Diner is an actual Diner that’s been around for 80 years in Wakefield, VA.   They started out by selling peanuts fresh from farmer’s fields in the area.  If you live in the area, go visit and tell me how it is!  For now I’ll be content crunching my peanuts from the can.

Batter up!
